This course is for professionals who are considered mandated reporters in New York State. This 2.5-hour, self-paced online course teaches mandated reporters how to identify and report child abuse and maltreatment in accordance with Social Services Law. This course was updated in 2022 and 2025 to reflect changes to the law. All current mandated reporters must complete this updated training by November 17, 2026. If you have previously taken the 2022 updates to this course with Healing New York, please email training@healing-ny.org for a free coupon code to take the 2025 updated course. Healing New York is not providing a shortened addendum for these updates at this time. Following the completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate of completion that can be filed with the NY State Department of Education to fulfill requirements they may have for their job or professional licensure.

This course is for school personnel who are employed or contracted to work in an educational setting in both public and private schools across New York State. This 1-hour, self-paced online course teaches school personnel how to recognize and report child abuse in an educational setting in accordance with the 2018 Amendment to New York State's Education Law Article 23-B. Following completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate of completion of the Child Abuse in an Educational Setting training requirement for school personnel.
